Hash Imperium Privacy Policy
How the app “Hash Imperium” for Android and iOS handles personal data (Art. 13 GDPR)
In short: Hash Imperium is a business simulation for Android and iOS that runs entirely offline on your device. The app collects no personal data, needs no account, shows no ads, uses no analytics or tracking services and sends nothing to us or to third parties. Saved games and settings stay on your device.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR is:
VectorAI Beratung & VertriebOwner: Christian Berger (sole proprietor)
Hofer Str. 23
07548 Gera
Germany
Phone: +49 1551 0153054
Email: christian.berger@vectorai-services.de
2. Data in the app
The app stores data only on your device, in the app's private storage: your saved games (including the names you give players) and your settings (language, volume, display, accessibility, tips already seen). This data never leaves your device and we have no access to it. It is deleted when you uninstall or delete the app, or on Android when you clear its data in the settings. Whether it is included in a backup – on Android to your Google account, on iOS to iCloud or a backup through your computer – depends on your device settings.
The game and the app send nothing over the internet. Only to buy the full version (section 4) does the app talk to your device's store, which connects to Google or Apple for it. On Android the app therefore requests these permissions: vibration (a short signal on in-game alarms, can be switched off in the options), purchases through Google Play, and internet access and network state – the last two come with Google's billing library. On iOS the app asks for no permission; vibration is haptic feedback that needs none.
Hash Imperium is a game with a fictional currency. No real cryptocurrency is mined or traded, and your device does not compute anything for anyone.
3. Google Play and the App Store
Android: You download the app from Google Play. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, processes data under its own responsibility, such as your Google account and information about your device. See Google's privacy policy.
Through the Google Play Console, Google gives us aggregated statistics, such as install numbers and – if you allowed sharing in your device settings – crash and performance reports (device model, Android version, app version, technical stack trace). These reports contain no names or contact details. We use them to fix bugs; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being an app that works.
iOS: You download the app from the App Store. Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, processes data under its own responsibility, such as your Apple ID and information about your device. See Apple's privacy policy.
Through App Store Connect, Apple gives us aggregated statistics, such as downloads and sales, and – if you allowed sharing with app developers in your device settings – crash reports and usage statistics (device model, iOS version, app version, technical stack trace). These reports contain no names or contact details either; we use them only to fix bugs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Buying the full version
The app offers a one-time purchase of the full version. Your device's store – Google Play or the App Store – handles the purchase and payment entirely. The app sends no purchase data to us: it asks the store whether the full version was bought, confirms or completes new purchases with the store and keeps the result only on your device, so the full version stays unlocked without internet and can be restored on a new device. Through the Google Play Console we see the order number, product, price and date of each purchase; Apple gives us only aggregated sales and financial reports. We never receive payment details (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep Google's and Apple's statements for as long as tax law requires.
5. Test versions and contact
If you take part in a test of the app, we use the email address of your Google account to add you as a tester in Google Play, or your name and email address to invite you through Apple TestFlight. In TestFlight we also see the feedback and screenshots you send there and crash reports of the test version with your device and system version. If you send us feedback by email, through Google Play or the App Store, we process what you tell us to answer and to improve the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete this data once it is no longer needed and no legal retention period applies.
6. No ads, no tracking, no sharing
- no advertising and no advertising IDs
- no analytics, tracking or audience measurement – including no tracking in the sense of Apple's App Tracking Transparency
- no sign-in, no account, no online features
- no sharing or selling of data to third parties
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
7. Children
Hash Imperium is not directed at children under 16. The app collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
8. Your rights
Where we process personal data about you, you have the right to:
- access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
